Common questions

Is this legal advice?

No. Plainzy is an AI tool that explains contracts in plain English. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. For important contracts, especially those involving significant money, employment or property, you should also consult a qualified legal professional.

Can I use Plainzy in a browser?

Yes. Open plainzy.com/app on a computer or phone. The Plainzy iPhone app is coming soon to the App Store.

What can I upload?

You can paste text, share a link to a contract or terms page, or upload a PDF, a Word document (.docx) or a photo (JPG or PNG) of a printed contract. All of these work on every plan. Plans differ in how many analyses you get each month, and in extras such as unlimited analyses.

Is my contract data kept private?

Your contract text is sent to the AI for analysis, and we do not keep the original document. If you sign in, we store the analysis results and your follow-up questions against your account so they sync across devices. We do not train AI models on your documents. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Why can't I use or subscribe to Plainzy in my country?

We only offer Plainzy in countries where we can take payments and handle local tax properly, and we are not able to offer it everywhere yet. If you are in a listed country and see this message, you may be using a VPN or a card billed in another country. Try again without a VPN, or email hello@plainzy.com and we will look into it.

I can't sign in or I didn't get an email

Check your junk folder first, and make sure you're using the same sign-in method you signed up with (Apple, Google, or email and password). Password reset and confirmation links work once and expire after a short time, so request a new one if yours has stopped working, and open it on the device where you requested it. If it still fails, email us the address you're using.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

If you subscribed on the website, sign in at plainzy.com, open Pricing and choose Manage subscription. You can also use the Manage subscription link in your Onelink receipt email. Onelink may ask you to create a Onelink account with your mobile number first, so the Manage subscription button on our Pricing page is usually quicker. If you subscribed in the iPhone app, Apple manages the subscription: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Apple handles refunds for iPhone purchases at reportaproblem.apple.com. For website purchases, see section 4 of our Terms or email us.

Can I switch between monthly and annual?

Yes, on the website. Sign in at plainzy.com, open Pricing, choose Manage subscription, then Update subscription. Monthly to annual starts straight away, and you pay the annual price less a credit for the unused part of your month. Annual to monthly waits until the end of the period you have paid for, so switching to monthly doesn’t charge you now. Until it starts, Pricing shows your current plan and a line such as “Renews 28 October 2027 at £3.99 a month”. You can cancel a waiting switch from Manage subscription. On iPhone, change plan in Settings, then Subscriptions; Apple decides when the change applies.

Why did I get an email from Apple, Stripe, Onelink or RevenueCat?

Depending on how you subscribe, you may get receipts or confirmations from the companies that handle your payment. Apple sends its own emails for iPhone subscriptions. Stripe, Onelink and RevenueCat (our subscription billing provider) may send them for website subscriptions, including your receipt and any trial or renewal notices. Onelink also sends a receipt when your free trial starts and when you change plan during the trial. These show £0.00, because nothing is charged until your trial ends. They send these, not Plainzy, and they come on top of our own emails about your plan. We can't control what they send or when. If you have a question about a charge, email hello@plainzy.com.

How do I delete my account and data?

Open the app, go to Profile and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your Plainzy data, and we cancel any website subscription for you and remove our customer record at Stripe. It does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription, so cancel that yourself. If you keep an Apple or Google subscription going and keep using the app, an anonymous subscription record (with no name or email) may be created again. If you can't get into the app, email us from the address on your account and we'll help.
